Blackhorse Beer Mile turns 3

Join us for the Blackhorse Beer Mile’s 3rd birthday party on Sunday the 4th of May!

4 breweries, 1 winery, 1 distillery and a bank holiday full of food, drinks and fun - free entry and dog friendly as always

Dust off the beer glasses and lace up the walking shoes, the Blackhorse Beer Mile is back for its third birthday bash on Sunday, 4th May! This annual celebration of craft beer, cocktails, and community is rolling out a FREE walking route featuring six venues including incredible breweries, taprooms, wineries, and distilleries. Expect a day packed with top-notch drinks, delicious food, and unbeatable entertainment at a selection of incredible Walthamstow venues, including Big Penny Social, Signature Brew, Pretty Decent, Exale, Renegade Urban Winery, and Burnt Faith Distillery.

Wander the Beer Mile in any order, discovering all the gems Blackhorse Lane has to offer, each just a 10-minute walk apart! Beer lovers, cocktail sippers, and wine aficionados alike can collect stamps at every venue to claim an exclusive commemorative glass to take home.

Just 5 minutes from Blackhorse Road station, Big Penny Social will offer freshly pulled pints, dishes from their new spring-summer menu and an electric atmosphere. At the UK’s largest Beer Hall, guests can soak up the sun in the sprawling 350-capacity Beer Garden, drink in hand, while a DJ spins the perfect soundtrack for the day. After the sun goes down, punters can groove to live music from the Brass Funkeys, a nine-piece brass band blending classic New Orleans brass with a fresh, funky twist! Guests will need to warm up their vocals for ‘Brass Funkeoke’ - where the band will welcome singers to sing their favourite hits with a full brass band.

Signature Brew is throwing an epic event with free live music all afternoon at the container bar, featuring four amazing BBQ vendors: 7Bone, From the Ashes, Backyard BBQ / Que Fresco, and Hogless Roast. As the sun sets, US punk legend Chuck Ragan takes the stage for a ticketed performance at the brewhall from 7pm. Pretty Decent will have 20 taps flowing with fresh beers, including their latest specials, plus a Sour Beer Slushie for the adventurous. DJs will keep the vibe going all evening, and It’s Not Big Dough will be serving up next-level Neapolitan pizzas in the yard.

Exale is celebrating a bank holiday birthday bash with resident DJs spinning until 2am, epic cocktail specials, and frozen slushies, along with mouthwatering plates from award-winning Whole Beast. Renegade Urban Winery will be pouring a huge selection of wines and craft beers, with five wines on tap and their famous Renegade frosé. Tuck into a Sunday roast (available until 4:30pm) and grab bites from food vendors (1-8pm), while live music plays from 3pm. Don’t miss Burnt Faith Brandy House's Cinco de Mayo Mexican-themed party, featuring a curated Mexican feast, BBQ trays, desserts, speciality cocktails, and courtyard festival vibes with frozen margaritas, craft beers, and award-winning street food.

With beer, wines, cocktails and soft drinks on offer, not to mention an array of food for all palates, there’s something for everyone at this year’s Blackhorse Beer Mile. So grab friends and family, follow the trail and make it a bank holiday weekend to remember!
